Many years ago I picked up a violin for the first time and began to play Scandinavian fiddle tunes.  In the course of this journey I have met many folks from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, England, and America who have shared their music, their knowledge, and especially their patience with fiddlers like me.

This is a work in progress, and can be improved by feedback from you.

If you would like to correct errors, offer suggestions, ask questions, or just chat... please drop me a line.  If you have a better name for a tune or dance suggestions that work with it, I want to know.

If you want a full transcription for a tune that doesn't have one yet, tell me about it.  It is my intent to put them all up eventually, and you can put your request at the top of the list. (Hint for emergency use: if the tune is short and simple, you might find that the incipit contains the full part.)

If you want to refer to a particular tune on the site, it would be helpful to include the tune number.
